On December 5th, our local paper The Staten Island Advance did a feature story about the young actors at Theater in the Woods.
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — We previously put the spotlight on Jo Anna Petrouleas.
She’s the founder of Theater in the Woods, a Todt Hill acting company that features a unique concept in which young adults ranging in age from 9 to 17 are taught every facet of the theater and interact with other teens who share a common passion for acting.
We boasted that the company offers students a chance to develop their craft, while instilling self-esteem and self-confidence and offering the tools required to succeed, not only in the acting profession, but also in life.
Jo Anna aims to provide an environment where students can be fully immersed in the study of acting, vocals and dance with courses covering a range of subjects including scene study and improvisation and offer opportunities not found at other conservatories in New York City.
