Dance/Movement
In this class students are taught to be able to move more freely on stage and to be aware of their body’s structure while they are acting on stage.
Screenwriting
Covers the art and guidelines of story telling including narrative structure, character development and the execution of developing themes. Each student will get the opportunity to write their own story in screenplay form which will be reviewed by the instructor as well as their classmates. With feedback given by the students and the instructor in order to help the young writers develop their craft.
Set Design
This class offers the creative student the opportunity to help create sets/props/costumes needed for current productions along with the assistant of a talented working professional. [This class is only offered in the Spring/Summer]
Voice/Speech
Our voice class teaches our students to breathe from their diaphragm and to project their voices while either speaking or singing. We also teach the students to be more articulate and to sing at their best within their range. We also give individualized attention for audition purposes and periodically teach show tunes for different productions.
On-Camera Acting
This class teaches the students to become more familiar and comfortable in front of the camera. It also teaches different acting techniques not used on the stage but strictly for film work.
Yoga
This class works together with our acting class; both classes main focus for the actor is relaxation and concentration. When these are both put into play the actor is able to stay connected with his/her character in a scene and in the most truthful way and therefore allowing their emotions to flow freely. The yoga class also helps to condition not only the body but the mind as well. This class also makes our students more aware of the nutritional needs we require to maintain a healthy body!
All classes are held on Saturdays.
Please call for this semester’s schedule.
